Job Summary
Provides direct personal care to patients or residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Essential Functions
- Assist patients or residents with bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs
- Reposition and transfer patients safely using proper techniques and equipment
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Document care provided accurately and on time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful care environment
Qualifications
Required:
- Active state nursing assistant certification
- Current BLS certification
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Ability to stand and walk for most of a shift, assist with patient transfers, and lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistive equipment.
