Supports providers and patients by handling clinical and administrative tasks that keep the clinic running smoothly.
Essential Functions
- Room patients and record vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Update and maintain electronic health records
- Schedule appointments and support patient check-in and check-out
- Follow infection control and patient privacy procedures
Qualifications
Required:
- Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current BLS certification
Preferred:
- Medical assistant certification (such as CMA or RMA)
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, assist with patient positioning, and lift up to 25 lbs.
